Reflective Conversation
Sometimes what someone may need is more of a reflective and focused conversation; this isn’t specifically counselling though the counselling skills are essential – instead it is more of a sharing of experiences, knowledge and coping strategies about topics which are too personal to talk through with others and because of this, leads to us being somewhat overwhelmed by how to navigate the difficulty.
I wonder if modern life has taken this opportunity away from us despite the belief that we are all more connected than ever before. Perhaps you would rather talk your difficulty through and come up with strategies that work for you. No need to delve in to other areas of life instead remaining focused on the topic. More a talking therapy in its true sense.
